Mental arithmetic is a unique program based on the traditional Japanese abacus method. It is designed to develop critical thinking skills and stimulate both hemispheres of the brain. The course is built on abacus-based calculation techniques. Children begin by mastering a physical abacus and gradually progress to performing calculations mentally by visualizing the abacus.
The curriculum places strong emphasis on
enhancing concentration, auditory memory, and visual thinking.
Arithmetic activates the left hemisphere
of the brain (responsible for logic and analytical thinking), while mental
visualization engages the right hemisphere (responsible for creativity and
imagination).
The program greatly enhances:
• Memory
• Concentration
• Speed and accuracy in decision-making
• Mathematical and logical thinking
• Listening and analytical skills
• Self-confidence
The learning process is playful, interactive,
and dynamic — ensuring not only effective education but also enthusiastic
participation from each child.
